I urge you to go and read bigblacksexcop's awesome smackdown of The Da Vinci Code, which deserves to be read by a wider audience. (Not that my blog is going to give anyone a wider audience, but anyway.)

I didn't think YouTube could be any more awesome, and then I found the video for Michael Nesmith's 'Cruisin' (Lucy and Ramona and Sunset Sam)', a song I have been obsessed with since the age of seven. I had never seen this before five minutes ago (New Zealand in the early 80s had two TV channels and half an hour of music videos a week). That's twenty-five years without seeing Lucy and Ramona's 'blemish-free complexions' - on roller skates, no less! How have I survived?

It's taken nine years, but someone has finally made my thesis worthwhile by referencing me in an academic journal. If you open the .pdf link to the article at the bottom of this page,
you will see me mentioned in footnotes 25 and 28!

Oh, the excitement.

I just want to let you know about Siobhan's blog, as I am overwhelmed with guilt about forgetting its address, and have now found it again and linked it in my sidebar. She is very humourous, and a relatively new Wellingtonian. Wellington is all classy and cultural. We could do with more culture around here.

Sherlock Licorish!

I met the man today and told him he has the best name ever. He seemed quite chuffed.

Ellie's next film project is co-directing the new adaptation of The Lovely Bones. She has a personal interest in the subject.
